Complete School Year’s Memory Work – 100% Songs

95 short & sweet songs for learning the basics of 5 core subjects, all set up in 1 easy-to-access weekly playlist. Just download the songs to your device of choice, print the pdf guide to go along with the songs & hit play. The program has 28 weeks worth of memory work, with built-in review.

Designed for ages 4-11, Classical & Charlotte Mason Homeschool.

  1. MATH – 33 fundamentals of math including skip counting up to 12s, basic geometry formulas, the essential properties, measurement equivalents and more.
  2. SCIENCE – Year 1 is focused on Astronomy. Learn helpful definitions & fascinating facts that inspire kids to ask big questions about the big universe. (Each yearly album includes different science topics, so by the end of 3 years, your child will have covered a wide variety!)
  3. ENGLISH GRAMMAR – English is such a rich, vast language. In Year 1, your child will master the fundamentals of nouns & pronouns. By the end of 3 years, your child will have learned the basics of all 8 parts of speech and be prepared for a deeper, practical study of English.
  4. BIBLE – We encourage families to memorize longer passages of scripture each school year. This Year 1 Album includes songs for Psalm 1, Proverbs 3:1-8, James 5:13-18, and Romans 8:1-8. All the Bible passage songs will always be free on Youtube HERE.
  5. LATIN* – Being exposed to the basics of Latin first makes studying the language so much easier later. If you plan to take your older child through First Form Latin, Visual Latin, or another popular Latin curriculum, these songs will more than prepare your child. Trust me, they’ll thank you later! Year 1 covers noun cases, declensions, the Latin Doxology, and counting 1-10.

*If you don’t intend to study Latin, you can easily skip or delete these songs. If you’re on the fence, we recommend just playing the songs anyway… they’re 30 seconds long, so you don’t have much to lose. Plus, you never know which of your kids will turn out to love Latin and be a linguistics genius. 😉

  1. SONGS ZIP FILE – this file includes all the songs for the program broken down by week AND by subject. There is one week-by-week playlist that you can literally just hit play on each week. There are also 5 individual subject albums that have all the songs organized by topic. These albums are for focusing on one topic at a time or just reviewing a favorite subject area.
  2. PDF GUIDE – The weekly guide is ready to print & go. It includes the text for all the songs organized in a weekly grid layout. Plus, there are teaching tips, review games, tracking sheets, and more!

When should I start playing the songs at? Young children have an amazing ability to memorize! We recommend playing these songs for children as young as 3-6 years old, but just for fun! Don’t expect mastery or understanding at this age. Children who internalize the text will later develop deep understanding as they begin to apply the principles they memorized at a younger age. Older children can also use the songs to help memorize & cement concepts they may be working on in their studies. You can learn more about why & how memory work increases critical thinking here.

Is this a complete curriculum? Musical Memory is intended as a supplement to curriculum for individual families and larger homeschooling communities. You can use the science songs in coordination with a unit study, but you don’t need to perfectly coordinate your curriculum to the songs. You can listen to and learn the songs while still going about your normal studies. Then sit back and watch as your kids start to ask questions inspired by the songs & make deep connections between the songs and what they read in books.

Can I buy individual subjects? Yep! The best bang-for-your-buck comes in purchasing the whole program. But, if you only want to grab one science topic or the math album, you can find those individually in our shop.

How many years are in the program? There are 3 years of songs that cover a vast amount of elementary education fundamentals across all 5 subject areas. We recommend listening to the songs at least twice through from ages 4-11. Sample plan:

  • Kinder- Year 1
  • 1st – Year 2
  • 2nd – Year 3
  • 3rd – Repeat Year 1 (You will be amazed how much your child remembers even 3 years later… The second listen is when the concepts really start to stick & the child is old enough to ask interesting questions inspired by the songs!)
  • 4th – Repeat Year 2
  • 5th – Repeat Year 3

Great tool! My kids (5, 3 and 1) ALL love to sing or babble along and are learning so much. The songs are mom friendly too, my favorite so far is skip counting by 6 🙂

These songs are wonderful! Before we had them memory work was an act of pure will, now my kids and I joyfully sing along to every word in the car. My three year sings me the definition of a noun; my six year old sings an entire Bible verse, I’m in awe. Honestly, musical memory is amazing. Even if you don’t homeschool they’re so catchy and wonderful for reiterating concepts. If you do homeschool they are an absolutely essential tool.

This has been SO handy for our family! Our children are 6,6, and 4.5 and soak up anything put to song. It’s thoughtless yet effective. Whether or not you are schooling at home this is a wonderful tool to add to your parenting/teaching toolbox!

Highly recommended! All of our memory work is in one place and professionally compiled. The tunes are catchy for the kids (11, 10, 7 and 5) and myself. We were able to upload the songs into YouTube Music, added our own hymns and worship songs and now have memory in motion — whether at breakfast, in the car or on a walk. What a gift to our family’s home school journey. We look forward to using this for years to come.

We are playing these songs every day in our house! This is a great way for my kindergartener to learn and memorize. Such a great tool for a homeschooling mom

You know the songs are good when you turn on random music on a Saturday because you figure your 3 kids (age 8,5, and 3) would not want to hear their memory songs on the weekend and then they immediately ask for their memory work songs! What a great blessing these songs are to us!

We have been enjoying these songs for several weeks now and its so fun to see how my 5 year old is already learning from them. My almost 2 year old also enjoys dancing and singing to them too. I really like the wide variety of beats and genres as well, it keeps it interesting! This is such a great way to learn. I’ll play the songs at meals or as we are driving for effortless learning on the go. We are so grateful for our musical memory songs. Highly recommend!

We LOVE using Musical Memory songs at home and on the go! It’s perfect not only for elementary aged kids, but also for my toddler, preschooler AND middle schooler! Listening to kids sing Psalm 1 completely or what Astronomy means is so rewarding to know that these little seeds of knowledge are being planted and will be used when their brains can comprehend. When that time comes, they’ll be a couple steps ahead of the game! Shhh…these songs even teach Mom and Dad quite a bit! Thanks for making them available!

Musical memory is absolutely fabulous for your little learners! We started using this at the beginning of the school year and my oldest had 8 weeks of memory work memorized in the first week! The music is fun, catchy and perfect for engaging learning without them even knowing it. I highly recommend it!

Musical Memory is an amazing tool to use in conjunction with homeschooling! The songs are catchy, short for easy memorization, and wonderful to listen to as a musical reinforcement to book work! We can easily listen in the car or at home. It’s been great to see my youngest (5) memorizing content he hasn’t yet learned, because he’s put it to memory through song! Highly recommend!!
