Is this a complete curriculum!? Yes! This Musical Memory history program is a simple + effective family style history curriculum. The combination of songs, books, timeline notebooking, & map activities gives you a simple, but comprehensive elementary school history plan. (We’ll release Ancient History in 2027 and Medieval/ Renaissance in 2028.) There are history teaching tips, video links, and hands on activity ideas if you want to spend even more time on it.  Books & songs provide a springboard for your kids. Kids are already curious. When you read books and sing songs, they begin to ask deeper questions that take you on the best rabbit trails. Your family’s study of a topic will be truly unique to you! You might watch a documentary. Another family might go to a museum or take a field trip or talk to a relative who was involved in a historically significant event. Start with the books & songs and see where it takes you!

Can I use the songs only? Yep! Some families choose to use our songs alongside other homeschool history curriculums. The songs cover 28 major world wide events that took place during the 1800s-1900s. They aren’t meant to be the best or most important events; just 28 pegs on which to hang a little memory hook. They help your children get an overview of events and give them context to study history more deeply as they get older.
