Cycle 3 Morning Time Guide – PRINTED & DIGITAL

$85.00

An open-and-go plan for gathering your family around truth, beauty, books, songs, and memory work.

*Note: the Musical Memory songs are a crucial part of the program and available for purchase separately – you can either purchase the Cycle 3 mp3 files here (and figure out how to listen to them) OR download and subscribe to our app which includes all the songs we’ve ever written (easiest option)!

Morning Time doesn’t have to be complicated. This guide gives you a simple, flexible rhythm for your homeschool days — so you can gather your kids, hit play on your memory work songs, read good books, enjoy poetry and the arts, and start your day with what matters most.

The Cycle 3 Morning Time Guide was created to pair beautifully with the Cycle 3 Musical Memory songs, but it is more than a song schedule. It gives you a full year of open and go, family-style Morning Time plans that weave together Scripture memory, prayer, hymns, folk songs, poetry, history, science, English, Latin basics, math, picture books, read-alouds, art, composer study, and memory work.

“This is the handbook I wish I would’ve had the last 10 years… It’s literally every resource I could want in one place!”  – Homeschool Mom of 3

Use it exactly as written, or treat it like a buffet of resources to choose from.

WHAT’S INCLUDED…

1. Suggested Daily Morning Time Rhythm – A simple flow for Bible, prayer, music, memory work, poetry, rotating subjects, and read-aloud time. There are also alternate suggestions if you need to spread these components throughout your homeschool day.

2. Weekly Cycle 3 Plans – Easy-to-follow weekly morning time plans that coordinate with your Cycle 3 memory work songs. There are 28 weeks of lesson plans intended to be spread out over 7 “months.” You can organize that around your given school calendar with breaks throughout. Advent lesson plans will be available separately around November/ December. The lesson plans are very rich & varied. You can always stretch them out or extend the books, songs & reading rhythms further into the summer months if you want.

3. 4-Day Rotation – A gentle, realistic rhythm for rotating through history readings, fine arts, picture books, timeline & map work, & science without trying to do everything every day. The 4 day schedule is customizable so that if you want to only do 2 or 3 days, you can adjust it.

4. Bible + Prayer Prompts – Monthly scriptures to pray and recite aloud together.

5. Hymns, Folk Songs + Poetry – Monthly selections to help your children grow up with beautiful words and music tucked in their hearts. All lyrics, sheet music, and poems included so that the program is completely open and go. I’ve also linked playlists of the chosen hymns & folk songs on both Spotify & Youtube.

6. Picture Book Lists – Curated monthly picture book “buffet” that coordinates with all the topics for the month in history, science, math, English, and fine arts. The book buffet has more books than you might get to in one month, so you can pick what’s available at your library or buy what you can find second hand. These lists are gold!!

7. Arts + Composer Study —-You’ll alternate between a composer of the month and artist of the month. The artist prints & biographies are all included in your monthly plans.

8. Monthly Art Projects – One day per month, the lessons include a block of time in the plans for an art project instead of an artist lesson. The lessons include links to step by step art project tutorials and exact supply lists. These art projects cover a variety of styles & mediums. Some months have 2 project options for younger & older kids if appropriate.

9. Supplemental Links & Videos – Every song, video, & tutorial link mentioned in the Morning Time Guide is easily organized for you! You can direct click from the digital copy or go to the cycle 3 links page on this website.

10. Read-Aloud Suggestions – Family read-aloud lists.
